I Picked Up Some Helpful Suggestions For A Budget Vacation Recently!

Although the economy is in the tank, I figure we need to carve out some money for a little vacation once in awhile. I’ve been doing some research into saving money while still having a nice trip. It seems that there are great travel deals to be found at many of the well-known travel sites if I spend a little time in research.

The choice of travel website should not only include finding the lowest price for car, hotel and air travel, you also want a company with a reputation for arranging a vacation without problems.  It also occurred to me that I should find a place where I can find good prices on travel costs, and maybe where I could drive my own car to save even more. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.

You’ll find a bunch of information and advice related to Southern California at the SoCal Vacation Guru website.  It focuses mainly on Orange County and Los Angeles County, but will eventually expand to provide more information on San Diego County and the Inland Empire desert and mountain areas as well. There is very useful information at the SoCal Vacation Guru on Universal Studios, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, beaches, shopping dining, hotels and other facets of your vacation.

I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. You will likely find it possible to obtain some advantageous hotel deals in the slow economy with so many motivated hotel companies, assuming your budget will let you take a vacation.

You might also get better deals now for tickets to theme parks, museums and other activities. Rather than flying to your vacation destination, you may find that, even with the crazy behavior of gasoline prices recently, you can save money by driving to Southern California this year.
