Malibu Real Estate

Many people think about The City of Malibu and think about one thing; the famous movie colony filled with the rich and famous and the beautiful people who live and party here on this wonderful stretch of coastline north of Los Angeles, on over 21 miles of coastline that runs  from Santa Monica up the coast almost well into Ventura County.Over 13,000 residents live on those 21 miles of Pacific Ocean seashore, cliffs, ocean canyons and prime surfing spots. Malibu real estate is the finest Southern Califonia has to offer.

Originally, this land was home to the Southern California Chumash Tribe of Native Americans who lived long and happy here, and in the coastal mountains and valleys for many thousands of years before the rich and famous discovered this new land. The Chumash Indians were peaceful fishermen, hunters and builders and regularly traveled from the mainland to the channel islands where many lived, made their pottery, built large boats, fishing equipment, tools, saddles, and farming equipment.

The housing options in the city today, are many and varied, with beautiful estates, large sprawling custom built homes, and many small horse ranches dotting the area of meadows and canyons on the north side of PCH gently spreading over the hills into the San Fernando Valley. The styles of homes in Malibu will range from older beach side cottages and homes built back in the early 1900s, by the up and coming celebrities of the time, to bigger more modern older homes sprinkled throughout the hillsides and canyons, ranches, both large and small with active livestock including horses, some cattle, to marvelous estate type mansions that spread over acres with private guest houses, pools, pool houses, and just about everything and every amenity that money can buy. There are some private, and very exclusive communities here, one being the famous  ‘Malibu Beach Colony’ where many of today’s movie celebrities, rock stars, writers, producers, directors and other people connected with Hollywood and the entertainment industry, reside full time, and along the coast, situated on the beautiful beaches, facing south into the warm California sun, are many newer large custom homes, many with 2 and 3 stories, estate style beach homes overlooking the Santa Monica bay, and Catalina Island to the south. These homes are becoming more and more evident as the older beach side cottages and homes are being torn down and making way for the newer and bigger style homes with the square footage in the newer homes high, much higher than that of the old homes built in the early 1900s, and even through the 1970s.

Age, location, size, and amenities are important in determining the prices for both older and newer homes in Malibu, however you can bet that all of the prices will be in the very, very upper end of the spectrum no matter size, age or location and one should consider one more important factor with living in this city, and that is that Malibu is not the most convenient place to live if you expect to be able to get into Hollywood or Los Angeles in a hurry, or get home in a hurry from LAX or one of the major freeways, this being one of the main reasons many of the celebrities choose to live here; the fact that it is more or less isolated and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and work, and offers a certain degree of solitude and privacy, in unsurpassed beauty, not found in too many places these days.

Landscaping Ideas For Your Beautiful Outdoor Garden

Landscape design has often been compared to painting a picture. Your art teacher was sure to tell you that a good picture should have a point of main interest, and the rest of the points should simply go to make the central idea more beautiful, or to form a fine atmosphere for it. So in landscaping there must be in the creative touch -  a complete picture of what they desire – the whole picture of what they want it to look like when the they complete the beautiful garden setting.

Should you include lots of bare open space in your garden landscape vision? A large extent of open lusious green lawn space is always beautiful. It looks restful.

This type of open landscaping adds a feeling of space to even small grounds. If you cover your lawn space with many trees, with little flower beds here and there, the general effect is choppy and fussy. A bit like an over-dressed person. Not the most visual appealing result from your landscaping efforts.

When planning your landscape garden, a single tree or a small group is not a bad arrangement on the lawn. Do not center the tree or trees. Let them drop a bit into the background. Make a pleasing side feature of them. In choosing trees for your landscaping project, keep in mind a number of things. You should not choose an overpowering tree. The tree should have a good shape, with something interesting about its bark, leaves, flowers or fruit.

For the art of landscaping, the catalpa is quite lovely by itself. Its leaves are broad, its flowers attractive, the seed pods which cling to the tree until way into the winter, and they are very picturesque. The bright berries of the ash, the brilliant foliage of the sugar maple, the blossoms of the tulip tree, the bark of the white birch, and the leaves of the copper beech all these are beauty points to consider when planning your special outdoor living environment.

Landscaping may follow along very formal lines or along informal lines. The first would have straight paths, straight rows in stiff beds, everything, as the name tells, perfectly formal. The other method is, of course, the exact opposite. You should consider the pluses and minuses in each.

In conclusion, plan for open lawn spaces in your overall landscape design renovation and keep a visually appealing tree to blend in the background. Think balance and you will come up with a beautiful landscaping design for your yard.

Need a High Risk Loan Lender?

In today’s economy high risk loans have become the norm sad to say. People with bad credit or no credit are on the list to be in line for a high risk loan. While these loans are relatively easy to apply for and receive, they come with a pretty high price tag.

High risk lenders usually accompany the loan with steep interest rates and rather high penalties for untimely payments. That is the reason why you shouldn’t apply for one unless it is a case of emergency.

There is an upside to these loans however. They are readily available and the lenders are more customer friendly. They want to make these loans even though they may not be charging the interest rates they could charge during strong economic times. They gladly issue these loans because they too need the business.

There are several places to look for these high risk lenders. First of all check with your local bank or lending institution. Chances are they will issue you a high risk loan. Also there are some high risk credit cards where you could access some cash but be really careful here. The interest rates are outrageous.

And you could do a search for high risk lenders online. Just make sure the company is reputable and has been around for a while. And never pay anything up front such as a processing fee, as this seems to be a red flag.

Finding high risk lenders is not that difficult. Finding one that meets your qualifications may be a different story.

Finding the Best Audio Speakers

Selecting the best audio speakers for your home theater or home audio system is a challenge. Today it seems there are no rules in building a home entertainment center.  If building an audio system for your home theater, you might go with a 5.1 or 7.1 system.  The most popular surround sound speaker system will be composed of four or six small full-range speakers and a good subwoofer and center channel speaker.  The satellite speakers can range from small pod style speakers to familiar looking bookshelf and tower speakers.  The bass normally would be from a powered subwoofer.

A real surround sound speaker system will provide the theater type experience of having the movie sound track almost surround you as the name implies.  This is great if you are an avid movie watcher but many times the installation of this type of setup can be a challenge when attempting to accommodate the typical home’s furnishings.  This is one reason that many homeowners are dedicating a single room to the home theater experience.  In this case the decor is dedicated completely to the theater which becomes the primary use of the room.

Unfortunately, most of us must compromise.  One good way to keep the wife happy while still being able to experience the theater type experience when viewing movies is to use smaller, satellite speakers in the side and rear positions.  These smaller cube style speakers might be as small as three or four inches.  Most family rooms can easily accommodate a pair of high end audio speakers such as tower or even bookshelf speakers for the front channels of your entertainment center.  The tower speakers also are capable of producing the full range of sound from your favorite movies as well as recordings from your favorite music artists.  While the smaller satellite speakers are easily hid, they provide the surround sound.

In any case, you’ll still want a separate subwoofer to provide the bass and sub-bass frequencies that the smaller speakers are not capable of producing.  Finish your system with a center channel speaker for dialogue and you are all set.  With a little effort, you can build a great sounding home system with a brand like JBL audio speakers.  You will have a good sounding entertainment center keyed for home theater viewing, great audio or both with little effort by shopping on the web.

Food Processor- Choosing a Food Processor that is Best Suited to Your Needs

I cannot think of a kitchen whether domestic or commercial without a food processor. In addition, I think everybody will agree to that. The food processor is almost indispensible to the kitchen. I am now so used to using the food processor that I cannot even imagine being in the kitchen without one.

In my lifetime, I had my fair share of efficient and inefficient food processors. Thankfully, the one I have now is good. I am sticking to it for around 3 years now. If you want to shop for a food processor then you must consider several things.
The first step would be gathering knowledge about the food processors. I remember when I was a kid my father used to read several manuals before finally settling to buy an electronic item. I know these days, people do not have time for that but still we can do some bit of research on the internet. On some websites, there are even options of comparing two or more than two different food processors in terms of features and prices.

Keep in mind that the best brands will always charge you more. This is not only because they are reputable but also because their warranties are better. In addition, these ‘brands’ have the best 24/7 customer service. Buy a cheap food processor from an unknown brand and see that you will not be able to contact the manufacturers if the food processor malfunctions.

Other than that measure, your needs and workload before you buy the food processor. An undersized food processor will create a lot of nuisance for you. Buying an oversized kitchen aid food processor will create even more trouble. Usually the food processors work well only when they are filled properly.

I with you all the best for you are shopping of a food processor.
