Having recently thinking about selling my house and as with all subjects similar to this have been attempting to find out what the best way to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or remain in it for a bit longer. I started by looking at different rooms in the house and thinking about what I could do to improve them and remove any issues I might have had about them.

Central to my house is the kitchen so I began by looking at the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work triangle (luckily I talked to a near by kitchen business about kitchen planning ahead of buying). The floor was a bit of an issue with only lino layed which had got a little chewed up as I had shoved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a local company to get the floor tiles that would blend in with the fitted kitchen without making the room look to dark (just some of the little things you have to consider when you come to sell your house, initial impressions are everything within the short window people have to view your house).

The next room I wanted to ensure was up to scratch was the bathroom, my bathroom layout was a little cramped due to some fitted cupboards which once removed gave me masses more space (which if you are going on first impressions could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the area tiler for some good tiling advice and used big light tiles which seemed to open the space in the room, just one of the many things to be thinking about when buying bathroom tiles.

The other rooms I decorated with a neutral light colour which seemed to draw the rooms out and provided the whole house with a fresh look. I then took out as much clutter as I could and stored everything that wasn’t essential away in the garage. Finished result, a house that I wanted to stay in, but after just a few viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some good interest, so fingers crossed ill be able to sell my house soon.
